Our Skipper                                           

Owner and captain of the Ocean Runner, Ryan Jones, is a certified RYA Yachtmaster operating from Poole’s historic natural harbour on the Dorset coastline. Ryan is the proud owner of the Ocean Runner, the new addition to Poole’s angling charter fleet.

Ryan is a highly competent skipper with a wealth of knowledge of both professional and recreational boating. As well as his extensive yacht training with the RYA, Ryan has 15 years of experience offshore and inshore.

During father and son sailing trips Ryan began to fall in love with the sea at the age of 8 years old, throughout his childhood and teenage years he gained a vast amount of boating experience and developed a passion for fishing. After several years, Ryan fulfilled his ambition of taking ownership of charter boats and is now the proud owner of Ocean Runner Charters, owning the newest edition to Poole’s angling fleet – Ocean Runner.

With a brand-new catamaran boat, Ocean Runner Charters are able to offer a wide range of fishing trips in Poole which include full boat bookings, excursions, corporate fishing trips, angling competitions, bird watching, windfarm work, stag weekends, novice fishing trips and organised charters for serious anglers.
